Long ago, the city of Jerusalem was trying to rebuild after being destroyed by invaders and the Temple of the Lord lay in ruins. The people were weary and the task before them seemed overwhelming. They were on the verge of giving up. Into their weariness, God spoke a short and simple message through the prophet that was just what they needed to hear. “I am with you,” declares the Lord (Haggai 1:13). In the midst of difficult days, we are not alone. We have a Heavenly Father who remains “with” us in every circumstance and offers us strength, stamina, & hope. Today is a day to hold on to our trust in Him…He is with us!
