Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
A lot of us have viewed this passage in the context of the regularly scheduled worship assemblies. However, the first century Christians met daily (Acts 2:46). Meeting together is not limited to Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings at the church building. Christians should meet together at various times in various settings to encourage one another and spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
This coming Saturday (May 4) we have an opportunity to meet together out at the Lard’s place and enjoy good food, good fellowship, and a lot of fun activities. Our young people have organized this event and I encourage all who are able to take advantage of this great opportunity to encourage and spur one another on by attending. It begins at 11:00am and will last until around 2:00. Please RSVP with Mrs. Lard by Wednesday May 1. There is a sign-up sheet for those who wish to help with side dishes. If you have any questions, give me a call 575-714-2028. Hope to see you there!
In Christ,
