During King Asa’s reign, the Bible tell us in 2 Chronicles 15:5 -6 that “it was not safe to travel about, for all the inhabitants of the lands were in great turmoil.” One nation was being crushed by another and one city by another, because God was troubling them with every kind of distress. So God sent the prophet Azariah, who encouraged King Asa and all the men of Judah and Benjamin to be strong and not give up. 2 Chronicles 15:7 “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” This should be an inspiration for us. When we get discouraged, don’t give up. Victims quit, an overcomer perseveres.
This Sunday’s lesson will focus on how we can overcome discouragement along with four other dangerous attitudes that can trip us up and cause us to be unproductive. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
