The story of the Tower of Babel in Genesis chapter 11 is a historical narrative of the first recorded form of government gone awry. The people set themselves up in defiance of God’s will and God simply did not allow their plan to succeed. Why? Because as Proverbs 21:30 reminds us There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. This Sunday’s sermon will focus on the story of the Tower of Babel as recorded for us in Genesis 11:1-9.
