Isaiah 26 is a song of praise. After redemption there should always be praise. Not only did God come in judgment upon the wicked, but He faithfully redeemed the righteous. For this reason God is worthy of praise. He is the creator and the judge of the entire universe. God is worthy of praise for many reasons. In Isaiah 26 we see at least 5 reasons for praising God. (1) God loves His children and He protects and defends them (Isaiah 26:1-2). (2) God gives His children confidence and peace through what he can do within them (Isaiah 26:3-7). (3) God should be praised because He judges our enemies (Isaiah 26:8-15). (4) God should be praised because He gives us opportunity to be salt and light to a lost world (Isaiah 26:16-18).(5) And God should be praised because He gives life to the dead (Isaiah 26:19-21).
This Wednesday’s lesson focuses on Isaiah 26 and we will look at each of these five reasons to praise God in more depth. The audio of the lesson is available under Wednesday Bible Study. Praying everyone is staying sane, safe, and healthy.
