In our sermon this week, we conclude our series on Job by focusing on Job 42. There are so many lessons to be learned from Job’s 42 chapters such as the importance of being a good friend, the recognition that good people sometimes suffer and that not all suffering is a result of someone’s sin. We also see so many things in Job that point to Christ (some of which we will see in this week’s lesson). Job also emphasizes the sovereignty of God. But if you boil all of it down to one thing it would be exactly what Scripture tells us in Proverbs 3:5: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
