The Book of Daniel clearly contrasts the blessing of humility with the destruction of a prideful life. King Nebuchadnezzar refused to follow Daniel’s advice to humbly acknowledge the One, True God and submit to Him. Nebuchadnezzar was governed by his desires. Consequently, the king’s pride led to the loss of his kingdom and even his sanity. In the end, the mighty Nebuchadnezzar himself, inspired by God, wrote the following:
Daniel 4:37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
This Sunday, our lesson will come from Daniel chapter four as we look at how God humbled Nebuchadnezzar’s pride. Look forward to seeing everyone this week.
