This coming Thursday, our nation celebrates Independence Day. We are blessed to live in a country where we have tremendous freedoms to pursue the things that ae important to us. The founding fathers who signed that Declaration of Independence 243 years ago, were doers. They didn’t just talk a good game, they backed it up with action. They had to risk failure, execute plans, overcome obstacles, and first and foremost they had to depend on an almighty God.
As Christians, God expects us to be Doers of His Word. He expects us to act on what we claim to believe. James 1:22 (NKJ) says that we should “be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” This Sunday we will take a look at what it means to Be a Doer of God’s Word.
