Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
As Jesus hung on a cross between two criminals; dirty, beaten, bruised, bleeding, thirsty, and struggling to breathe, he did exactly what he had told his followers to do in Matthew 5:44. He prayed to God to forgive those responsible for his murder.
Luke 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.
As Christians we are to follow the example of Christ. This Sunday we will take a closer look at Luke 23:34 and how it applies to us today.
