Yesterday we got an update on the missionary work of Rui Diogo. Rui and his wife Nadia have been in the mission field for the past 18 years in Brazil. Their goals is to have a congregation of the Lord’s church in each state capital of Brazil and to plant a church in cities with more than 200,000 people. So far they have planted churches in 9 cities. They are planning to go to every church they have helped to see how they are doing and to encourage them to continue strong in the faith.
Their next target is the city of Porto Velho, a city of over 470,000. This city is the capital of the state of Rondonia in the northwest part of Brazil. It is one of two state capitals that do not currently have a congregation of the Lord’s church.
