Ezekiel 2:6-7 (NIV) And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people. 7 You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.
In Ezekiel 2-3 God calls Ezekiel to his task. He must speak God’s Word to the exiles of Judah. It will be a tough assignment, but Ezekiel must do it. The principles here apply to us. We must be willing to speak the truth of God’s Word when necessary. Last week’s lesson focused on Ezekiel’s call and this week’s lesson takes us into the New Testament as we look at how we can and should apply the principles we learn this week from Ezekiel 2-3.
