John 15:13 (NIV) Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. This weekend we remember those who died in service to our country. But never forget the One who laid down His perfect life for you and me. And not only did He willingly lay down His life, He took it up again and in doing so secured the ultimate victory for all who would come to Him. Those who are in Christ face no condemnation; we have been given abundant, everlasting life. We have been set free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2).
