1 Thessalonians 5:17 says we are to “pray continually”. Last week we looked at what makes up an authentic Christian Community: unity, responsibility for one another, and boldly proclaiming God’s Word. A recurring ingredient that enabled the early Christians to do all of those things was prayer. First-century Christians prayed with passion and persistence. Congregational prayer was a major emphasis in the early church. The disciples understood the importance and power of praying together. From the beginning, they met regularly for the purpose of prayer.
This Sunday we will take a trip through the first 12 chapters of Acts and look at the power of prayer and how Christians today need to use it. The lesson will be available on our website Sunday morning by 10:00 AM .
Praying everyone is staying safe, sane, and healthy.
In Christ,
