1st Timothy 2:9–14 is one of the more hotly-debated passages of the New Testament. This begins the second main section of chapter 2, which actually began in verse 8 and extends to the end of the chapter at verse 15. The theme is that of the role of women within the church. The goal of this Sunday’s lesson will be to interpret this passage and see how it applies to us today. This will also serve as a great segue into our lessons from 1st Timothy 3 on Elders, Deacons, and their wives which we will be doing the first three Sunday’s of July.
